The Product Line:
PL Personal Health’s mission is to provide Smart Solutions for Healthier Living. Our technology portfolio ranges from Radio Communication solutions like Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), our proprietary Near-Field Magnetic Induction (NFMI branded as Miglo to the open market) or NFC to specialized DSP, memories and sensors, all with a common point: an unrivalled ultra-low power consumption. Thanks to those we offer solutions used to process and transmit sound in hearing aids and a variety of hearable devices (e.g. true wireless earphones). We offer solutions to log the environment and the use of medicines in smart tags. Our products use some of the most advanced package technologies allowing our customers to miniaturize their products, use very cheap assembly processes or guarantee the quality and durability one expects in applications implanted inside the human body.
Tasks and responsibilities :
The Product Engineering position is a central role in the development of new products because it covers aspects “from cradle to grave” and is implemented through interactions with Design, Process, Test, Quality, Marketing, Manufacturing. The responsibilities include
creating and executing characterization plans,
co-developing qualification plans with Quality based on the product use case conditions,
setup and execute (automated) lab bench validations,
design the Hardware required for all bullets above,
interface with Test Engineering to ensure that the test used in manufacturing and qualification covers all quality standards and product requirements,
evaluate the producibility of the products in industrial conditions with an optimized yield and cost.
interface with manufacturing sites to ramp the product into high volume manufacturing,
prepare the tools and flow for the handling of customer complaints and quality incidents.
Profile :
Some of the tasks require deep core competences of which the execution lead to a completely defined package. Some other tasks require to be the catalyzer of other’s competences. Being a good synthetic communicator, being curious beyond the boundaries of your own responsibilities, being team oriented but able to work independently and thinking critically are personal characteristics that will make you enjoy this role and be successful.
Your growth potential is as important as your acquired skills.
Essential skills :
5+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry
Bachelor or Masters degree in electrical or electronic engineering, or equivalent by experience
Knowledge of integrated circuits technology (design and manufacturing)
Basic skills in statistics, data analysis
Strong problem solving skills
Open to travel to NXP locations (depending on the stage of the product development)
Lab measurements
Additional Relevant Skills :
6 sigma green/black belt
Knowledge of C, C++, Python, Labview.
Knowledge of Datapower, ExensioYield, Optimal+
Knowledge of PCB design tool
